My Johnny Air experience and review
I will share my review of Johnny Air Plus based on my recent experience with them.
There are several third-party freight forwarders that cater to Filipinos who do not have access to products that are only available in the USA, Canada, or Europe. The difference between these freight forwarders is either their price range or the services they offer. In my previous post, I mentioned that I used Johnny Air Plus’ service when I bought my Kindle from Amazon. You may ask why did I choose Johnny Air? Honestly, I really had no idea before that I could have other options. I opted for Johnny Air because some friends recommended it.
But in this post, I will let you in on how my recent transaction went by sharing my review and experience with Johnny Air Plus.
PROS:
1. You can select from their locations in the United States where you can have your item shipped. They have drop-off points in New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
2. They have branches in some of the SM Malls which makes it easier for us to eyeball their legitimacy, business permits, and other documents that can prove their genuineness.
3. Their rates are cheaper than alternative international courier services like DHL, UPS, or FedEx.
4. Creation of an account on their website is pretty easy and straightforward.
5. The staff who assisted me was accommodating.
6. They accept several forms of payment (e.g., G-Cash, credit card, or cash upon pick-up).
7. The package’s transit time from the USA to the Philippines is short.
CONS:
1. Their website has a section where you can estimate the shipping cost, however, the actual price will be different. Mine was way more expensive than the estimated cost. They said that the actual cost is based on the exchange rate on the day that your package arrives in Manila.
2. You can also track your package by creating an order on their website, however, I would say that it is of no use because it does not really reflect the updated status. As for my case, I had to call them several times just to check the status.
Even up to now, it is still tagged as “Processing MNL”.
3. If you are planning to have your package delivered to your Metro Manila address from their branch or office, they charge an additional $5.00. This is more expensive than Grab’s delivery fee especially when your home is within the same city as their branch or office.
But other than these 3 cons, I am satisfied with Johnny Air Plus’ service.
Would you consider Johnny Air Plus for your deliveries from the USA?
