What’s up?
Hiiiiiii! How are you? This question never gets old, isn’t it? I am posting this one to share random updates.
After more than one year, Metro Manila is still in quarantine and I have not been home for that long! I miss my parents, the fresh air, and the good food terribly. The person who was voted into the office by 16M people is useless and reeks of incompetence. What a great time to be alive. Oh, don’t get me started!
Anyhoo, is it just me or does this week feel extra long? I mean, how come that today is still Thursday? 😆
Oh, by the way, I am happy to report that I am now a full-fledged Army! For years, I have been avoiding crossing the world of K-Pop from K-drama’s, but a fan gotta do what she gotta do. I finally caved in! In fact, when I am not busy with work and other stuff, you can find me binge-watching either The Big Bang Theory or Run BTS and any BTS-related videos. Watching them warms my heart and I am filled to the brim with pride (waaaw, feelz na feelz? Kaloka) Before this dramatic turn of events, I was rather fine but, now, I am always having lucid dreams that I am friends with BTS members, more so with Jin or Jung Kook. Lol. Also, their songs are playing pretty on repeat for several days now.
On a different note, I miss traveling and going on vacations! I am grateful that I am able to work from home but, man, a year without travel or going on real vacations is another thing! That is probably the reason why I was hooked with Netflix’s travel docuseries such as Joanna Lumley’s Japan and Silk Road Adventure, The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes, Japan with Sue Perkins, and Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, the past few months.
In other news, my birthday is coming! It is funny because I dread my birthday so much since 2017. I used to think that something forlorn will happen, and when I was, absolutely, able to get over it in 2020, the first community quarantine in Metro Manila happened. For this year, they have, yet again, initiated another stricter quarantine. Always. A. Great. Timing. Nevertheless, I look forward to it. It is going to be a milestone and I am hopeful now more than ever. I pray for it to be my greatest year, yet. I may be away from my loved ones but I know that the universe has something beautiful in store for me.
I think that is all for now. Stay safe, healthy, and hopeful. We will get through this together.
