Fantasy World in Batangas

If there is one thing that I really enjoy about a joyride, aside from me just sitting pretty, is seeing an unfamiliar place which can be reached for just a couple of hours. So, I was excited about last week’s trip to the Fantasy World in Batangas.

“Woe to you the day it is said that you are finished! To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense! To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul – to give it its final blow; the most unfortunate one for the painter as well as for the picture.” – Pablo Picasso

I read from articles that the Fantasy World in Batangas was supposedly the town’s version of Disneyland. But, its construction was stopped when the company head fell ill. Hence, it is alternatively referred to as the Abandoned Castle. How marvelous would it be if we had our own Disneyland without flying out to another country? Oh, well, everything happens for a reason.

The entrance fee is 100.00 per person and the ticket can be bought from the personnel at the gate.

The road leading to the castle gave me an eerie feeling. Can you feel it?

When we finally set foot on the place, the Fantasy World in Batangas is far from forsaken. The first thought that came into my mind was, “how would this look like if it was finished?” But then again, since the place was converted to a photo park, there is really nothing much to do aside from taking photos… and taking more pictures.

There is also a chapel inside the premises.

There are mini rides but they are not operational. Based on the ABS-CBN Report, these rides were installed in February 2017.

Therefore, let’s just shoot more photos!

The place is just picturesque and thus it is famous for pre-nup and pre-debut shoots. This is perfect especially if you want to be a royal, or a Rapunzel, for a day.

Another interesting spot is the tree house where it has a hanging bridge that you can cross to go to another tree house.

The Metro Manila could be quite tiring, the Fantasy World in Batangas could be your quick escape—breathe the fresh air and enjoy the splendor of nature.

Of course, don’t forget to take selfies and to awra. Ganoin

The structures in the Fantasy World show all signs of age—forming streaks of gray across the brick walls, peeling paint and tarnishing rifts, but stubbornly refusing to die.

You just know that the structures have withstood the test of time. And, I think there is some ghostly thrilling and glorifying beauty in the way this place holds up.

After the sightseeing in the Fantasy World, we went to Tagaytay to satisfy our cravings for Bulalo at Leslie’s.
