Happy New Year!
Happy new year, everyone! No one asked but I’ve been MIA for ~soooo~ long because of work, life, etc., but Google Analytics reported that there were still some people who visited my website, so thank you although I have not written much in 2022.
2022 was a hard year for all of us, wasn’t it? The Philippine election results were disheartening (at least for me), the inflation was crazy and brutal, misinformation and disinformation proliferated, and the world became more chaotic and dangerous. But, surely, we can find something good to be thankful for and to cheer about in 2022! For one, COVID eases. It’s funny because, in 2022, masks started to seem like a thing of the past, although I still wear one at work because I had several instances of COVID scares. Concerts with live audiences are back, which reminds me that I missed the shows of The Script (tickets were sold out after 1 hour, damn!) and Eraserheads (because I flew out of Manila for the holidays). We can finally hug and have lunch or dinner dates with our families and friends. 2022 was still a monumental year, after all.
Personally, 2022 was an excellent year for me, but the one thing that topped my “I’m grateful for…” list for 2022 is that my family and I are all safe and healthy. There is so much to do in 2023 but I’m looking forward to achieving my goals, improving myself, writing more for The Bloggeram, and being braver.
May we all have a prosperous year ahead! I’m excited to share more stories with you, and as always, thank you for sticking by.
