Some By Mi Body Cleanser Review

Here is my review for the Some by Mi Body Cleanser which helped me a lot with my back acne and clogged pores.

It’s been more than six months since I started using the Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30-Day Miracle Acne Clear Body Cleanser for my back acne. My skin type has dramatically changed from when I was a teenager. As I get older, my skin is becoming oilier, more sensitive, and more acne-prone. Back acne used to be my constant problem maybe because I sweat a lot, my pores are always clogged, and I didn’t exfoliate that often. I reached a point in my life last year where I told myself, “That’s it. I need to do something real about this back acne.” I hit on Some By Mi on Facebook because I was really into skincare products last year (well, hello, targeted ads!) I searched for a Some by Mi Body Cleanser review and I came across quite a lot of them.

Some By Mi is a South Korean brand. Obviously, their skincare products are some of the few things I love about South Korea. Oh, crap! Who am I kidding? I love everything about that country!

The star ingredients of this body cleanser are, of course, the three exfoliating acids: Salicylic Acid (BHA), Mandelic Acid (AHA), and Lactobionic Acid (PHA). The exfoliating acids are good for cleansing and unclogging the pores. Another two favorite ingredients of mine are the Centella Asiatica Extract which is good for soothing irritation and redness, and Glycerin which is very hydrating. One ingredient of this cleanser that I don’t really like is the Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil or any essential oils in skincare products for that matter. But, I can tolerate it because this cleanser is a wash-off.

Here is the complete list of the ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Lauric Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coco-Betaine, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Chloride, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Trideceth-10, Capric Acid, Palmitic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Dextrin, Mandelic Acid, Gluconic Acid, Lactobionic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Butylene Glycol, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Madecassoside, Propolis Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Hexylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Limonene.

MY THOUGHTS:

This body cleanser has a strong smell of tea tree and I thought it would really dry my skin out. But, surprisingly, it feels gentle, it does not irritate and it exfoliates my skin just right, it solves my back acne and prevents my skin from getting it, and it evens out the hyperpigmentation I have on my back. I also notice that it manages my Keratosis Pilaris on my chest truly well. I’m impressed and it has become my holy grail! Also, its bottle is pretty big and I still have a little less than a quarter after more than six months. I can genuinely say that this cleanser is a life-saver and it is one of the few best things that I’ve ever purchased! However, I doubted that this alone would solve my back acne so I coupled it (and I still do) with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner and good hygiene like taking a bath immediately after sweating or working out.

HOW TO USE IT:

I dispense two to three pumps of the cleanser into a shower puff or a shower ball and scrub my back and upper chest with it very gently. I use it thrice a week just because I don’t want to over-exfoliate my skin. Then, I rinse my body thoroughly and pat my skin dry. I finish the routine off by applying a rich moisturizer. For a full disclosure though, I don’t use it on my face, just like what others have bravely done because my face can be extremely sensitive.

HOW TO ORDER:

I ordered it from the Some By Mi flagship store on Shopee and I received it after 3-4 days straight from the beautiful land of South Korea.

I hope this review for the Some by Mi Acne Clear Body Cleanser helps you. And while we’re at it, it just hit me that I’m running out of this cleanser and I already need to stock up on it. BRB!
